Life does not come with a manual, game-plan, script, or any pre-set notion for us to run through, we simply go ad lib.
This is the second submission from my Life Unscripted series. This time it takes place in the dojo from the world of Kendo. During a local tournament one of my sempai was literally thrown off his feet! He landed into other kendoka who were sitting in astonishment and laughter. The poor lad didn't have a chance to recover, in fact, once he got up he was thrown back down with even the head judges laughing!
The shot isn't very good....then again none of my stuff is, I was lucky enough to grab my camera, chose right shutter speed and somewhat focus it correctly while hwas being thrown (I was the time keeper of this shiai). I still like it though! I love my candid shots
That's such a nice image, it just looks so out of place with the formal armour and the guy stood in the background in the mask (we can imagine his surprised expression behind it!) then to have the other people in the scene without masks all laughing and a guy landing on his bum out of nowhere.

Train, train, take us away... take us away, far away, To the future we will go, where it stops, nobody knows.
We've had a couple of occasions in kenjutsu class where we've all ended up laughing... generally because I ended up crossing myself with both my swords or my feet slipping out from under me during a lunge, etc. It's all in the name of fun though and we've all been there...
Love this shot! I envy you the chance to watch from the sidelines and get them. Our class is as yet, too small to have time for me to sit out a bout and observe and take photos as they generally need the extra bodies on the floor and not on the sidelines.

Lol, the guy standing up was sitting originally until the kendoka decided to land in his spot! Later I might submit the 2nd part where he tries to get up!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
